As a long-time Faribault resident, business owner, school board member and community volunteer of many years, I understand the issues most important to you and your family. I know we can do a better job balancing our state budget than raising taxes on Minnesota families. As your next State Representative, I will bring a new voice and a positive vision to the Capitol. I respectfully ask for your support and vote.

Education. Otto believes in equity in education funding. Our schools receive up to $5,000 less per student than schools in the metro area. That’s not fair! Otto will also work to see that there is reform and accountability in how existing dollars are spent.

Job Creation, Taxes and Economic Growth. As the owner of a small business in Faribault, Otto understands that job opportunities are a result of a healthy business climate. Otto believes state government should hold the lid on taxes and prioritize spending to make investments that improve Minnesota’s quality of life.

Health Care. Otto supports market-based reforms that provide consumers with cost and quality information and preserve provider choice. Otto opposes government-run health care, which limits treatment options and leads to rationing.
